Results Entry can be intensive, especially for athletics carnivals where field events are on at the same time as track events. Spreading the data input over more than one PC is useful.
Essentially there r\are two ways to do it.
1. Have one or more independent computers (i.e. not networked) recording some events as well as the primary computer. At some point these computers save their results to a file. That file is transferred to the primary computer for import.
Caution
Note that secondary computers only export results, not students. This means that if secondary computer adds a new student because they show up in an event, the primary computer will not "know' about them and the subsequent results import will carry a result for an unknown student. This may get remedied in the future, but for now, if a new student turns up in an event, let the primary computer enter that student and handle the results of that event.
2. Have one or more networked PCs working on the same set of data as the primary PC. These computers will each be working on results for distinctly separate events.
