Event Library

Once you have created a Lineage you will require an Event Library. This is a set of standard events that you draw upon to create a program.

These events are associated with the current lineage and will apply to all carnivals in the same lineage.

These entries tell SportsTrak how to behave with different event types.  You may add to or edit these events.  You are not required to use them, but any event on the program must be here.

Event Name:      

This is what will appear on the program, so be consistent with formatting, capitalisation etc

Category:              

Refers to events competed with as Individuals, or events competed  with as a Team (usually relays)

Measure:              

Timed or Distance.  How the event is measured.  High Jump comes under Distance

Scoring Method:      

Normal is most common... where 1st place gets X points, 2nd place a few less, etc.

Slip Format:      

How the Marshal/Judges sheet is structured.  Field is used for all Distance events except for High Jump which has its own format. Timed events are usually Track format, even for Swimming events such as 50m Freestyle

Number per house:

How many competitors in a team event.                                                              Not critical

Lanes and Pits:

How many lanes or pits are used for the event.                                                      Not critical

Duration:

Used when adding events to the program to suggest the timing sequence.              Not critical
